02.06. - 07.06.2019 iceDOME Oberstdorf
The village of Oberstdorf is the southernmost municipality in Germany and well-known for its winter sports tradition.
With its Nebelhorn and Fellhornbahn, Oberstdorf is the immediate entry into the Allgäu mountains. And in the middle of this the friendly community of Oberstdorf is situated. Traditionally in January, Oberstdorf carries out the Tour de Ski in the cross-country stadium. Oberstdorf is also famous for its ski jumping hills, especially the annual opening of the Four-Hills-Tournament at the end of December.
The small streets invite you to shop and relax in the cozy cafes and restaurants and the Kurpark offers peace and relaxation in front of a dreamlike backdrop.
A professional skating center with 3 modern ice rinks offers the figure skater all the necessary comforts to prepare for the season already in the summer.
The ice sports center Oberstdorf is located at the foot of the Nebelhorn in the immediate vicinity of the village center. The ice sports center is open daily from May to March and offers the “best ice" for optimal skating conditions for big skating stars or for those who want to become one.
Two ice rinks (30x60m) with grand stand and a smaller ice rink (20x40m) with mirror were already the training center of the European and World Champion Carolina Kostner as well as the European champion and today's iceDOME coach Tomas Verner.
Other sports facilities include a bright and spacious ballet room, dressing rooms with lockers, a yoga room and a sharpening room.
Always online, never offline - even Wi-Fi can be purchased at the center entrance for a fee. In the cozy restaurant on the first floor, athletes and their families can be spoiled by the Croatian cuisine.
The boarding school with direct access to the ice rink is home to our young athletes from 14 years. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the boarding school restaurant with a view on the competition hall. So you will not miss any training!
In our 1-week camp we welcome young skating talents, who want to start early into the new season.
The daily training takes place from 8 o'clock in the morning to 18 o'clock in the evening from Sunday to Friday. For the athletes we have planned enough breaks for regeneration. Our choreographers will create the first programs of the new season with you and our technical coaches will improve your skating skills and thus lay the foundations for jumps and spins. In dance training, you get a sense of rhythm and body with a lot of joy.
But what exactly awaits you in our camp?
The training week includes 6 training days. Our athletes of the categories Beginner to Seniors can look forward to 23 exciting training sessions:
- 10 x 40 minutes of technical training on the ice in small groups
- 1 x 40 minutes of expression
- 1 x 40 minutes spins
- 1 x 40 minutes stroking class
- 1 x 40 minutes methodics on ice
